What It Means To Walk By Faith
Today as I re-visited our call to
India, Abba reminded me that is was Him Who called us…and it is Him Who has
sent us…and it is Him Who will complete in us what He has started…(Rom 3:24,
Rom 5:9, Rom 8:30; Titus 3:7)
Many times
in our love walk we try to walk on our own instead of walking by the “faith of
the Son of God Who loved us and gave Himself for us.” Many times we try to “help”
Him along in His plan and purpose for our lives. And this is when we are no
longer walking in love or faith…we are walking by sight. (Gal 2:20; 2 Cor 5:7)
There was a
time when failure meant that He would take His Spirit from us. Not today. There
was a time when He would take away our talent from us and give it to another.
Then He would banish us from His presence. There was a time when we were all
undone, lost in this world, and without hope. But that was then… (1 Sam 16:14;
Ps 51:11)
Today, His
sacrifice has already purchased us. We have been redeemed. We are a child of
the King of kings. Today we are in Messiah Yahshua. And today His grace is
sufficient. (Acts 20:28; Heb 9:12; 1 Pet 1:18; 1 Cor 6:20, 1 Cor 7:23)
When will
we realize that He has already paid the penalty for our sin; past, present, and
future? When will we realize that He is not into “un-adoption?” He adopted us
not because of what we could do. He adopted us because of what He alone could
do.
(1 Cor 5:21; Isa 53:6; Jn 1:12; Gal 4:5; Rom 5:8, Rom 8:15;
Eph 2:8-9)
When we consider
Him and all that He has done do we think that He is waiting hopelessly in some
remote corner of the universe (i.e. heaven) chewing His nails to see if we are
going to blow it and cause all of His sacrifice to be in vain? Of course not.
He which has begun a good work in us is the same One Who will perform it until
the day of Messiah Yahshua. (Phil 1:6, Phil 2:13)
No matter
how many times we miss the mark, no matter how many times we fail; our eternal
salvation is based upon Him and Him alone. His forgiveness is permanent,
eternal, and complete. His love is limitless, boundless, and without measure!
(Rom 8:31-39; Jn 6:37, Jn 10:28; 1 Jn 5:10-13)
So the next
time you think that you have really blown it, as we all do, simply get right
with Him. Get back on your feet and get back to work. His love has never been
based upon us. It is solely based upon Him. (Isa 43:25, Isa 48:11)
Lessons
that we learn in this life remind us that we are nothing without Him and yet we
can do all things through Christ Who strengthens us! Be encouraged…get back
up…and get going! He is right there beside us every step of the way! (Prov
24:16)
